The Dählhölzli is a forest that is run as a common quarter in the statistical district 18 Kirchenfeld of the district IV ( Kirchenfeld-Schosshalde ). The bank of the Aare forms the southern border .

In 2019, no residents were registered in the quarter.

In the southwest is the Bernese zoo, called the Dählhölzli zoo . The so-called Ka-We-De (artificial ice rink and Dählhölzli wave pool) forms the southwestern tip , to which the tennis courts of the Dählhölzli tennis club are connected. A rope park with seven courses and heights of up to 23 meters has been set up in the Dählhölzli Forest.

Due to its age structure, the Dählhölzli Forest is severely affected by climate change. The necessary forest work is not accepted by everyone. The civic community of Bern objects, however, that the safety of the walker must have top priority .
