Felsenau is a statistical district (7) on the Engeh peninsula and at the same time a smaller common quarter in the district II Länggasse-Felsenau . In addition to Felsenau, Aaregg , Äussere Enge , Hintere Engehalde , the Kleine Bremgartenwald , Rossfeld and Tiefenau belong to the northernmost statistical district of Bern (which also forms the city limits there ) . The Aare forms the border in the north and east .
In 2019, 3824 inhabitants lived in the statistical district, of which 3102 were Swiss and 722 were foreigners. In the smaller common quarter there are 669 inhabitants, 608 of them Swiss and 61 foreigners.
The Tiefenauspital , the Rossfeld Training and Dormitories Foundation, which promotes the professional and personal integration of people with physical disabilities, are located in the statistical district . The Bern Technical College and the Felsenau brewery are located in the usual quarter .
The common quarter is determined by residential developments in the form of single and multi-family houses.
The urban bus line 21 connects the quarter with the center. The RBS also connects the Bern-Tiefenau and Bern-Felsenau stations with the Bern train station via the S-Bahn
