Schosshalde is Bern's statistical district 22 in district IV ( Kirchenfeld-Schosshalde ) Other common quarters in the district are Egelmoos , Freudenberg , Jolimont north of Buchserstrasse , Merzenacker , Ostring , Rosengarten , Schönberg / Bitzius , Schönberg-Ost , Schöngrün / Vermont , Schosshaldenwald / Friedhof , Wyssloch and Zentrum Paul Klee . In the east it forms the city limit to Ostermundigen .
In 2019, there were 9003 inhabitants in the statistical district, 7097 of them Swiss and 1906 foreigners.
The name Schosshalde is the Moränentereasse returned between Schosshaldenstrasse, Schosshalde Forest, 0berer Zollgasse, Buchserstrasse and Egelgasse. Obstberg was the name of a country house on Aargauerstalden.
The Zentrum Paul Klee , opened in 2005, is an exhibition and event center, which is especially dedicated to the work of Paul Klee . From the rose garden , which is home to over 400 species of roses and irises, as well as 28 different rhododendrons, one also has one of the best views of Bern's old town. From 1765 to 1877 it was the cemetery of the lower old town; the garden has only been a public facility since 1913.
