Mattenhof-Weissenbühl is one of the six districts of the city of Bern (District III). It is located in the southwest of the city and includes the quarters Holligen , Mattenhof , Monbijou , Sandrain (or Schönau-Sandrain and Marzili), Weissenbühl and Weissenstein . The Könizbergwald is one of them.

The resident population in 2019 was 31,350, of which 24,108 Swiss and 7242 foreigners.

politics

The voting shares of the parties on the occasion of the city council election on November 27, 2016 were: SP 30.9% (thereof JUSO 2.6%), GFL 10.8%, GB 10.7%, glp 10.7% (thereof jglp 1.9%), FDP 9.8% (of which jf 1.1%), SVP 7.9% BDP 3.6% YES! 3.4%, EVP 3.1%, CVP 2.4%, AL 2.3%, PdA 1.8%, GPB-DA 1.1%, EDU 0.9%, Mir si Bärn 0.4% , SD 0.2%. Compared with the other districts, Mattenhof-Weissenbühl is the one with the best results in the SP (including JUSO) and the glp.

In comparison with the city-wide result, the one in the Mattenhof-Weissenbühl district has an average result. The various left and green parties performed slightly above average, while the SVP achieved a below average result.

  3. In District I, the glp achieved a slightly higher election target. Its results, however, are not very meaningful, as the majority of the votes there come from people who voted in the polling stations in the old town (or at Bern train station) but live in other quarters.
