The Fischermätteli is a Bern district in the III Mattenhof-Weissenbühl district and the 12 Holligen statistical district . Neighboring quarters are Ausserholligen , Holligen (the smaller common quarter), Mattenhof , Hardegg / Weissenstein and the Könizbergwald . In the south it forms the city limits to Köniz . The name refers to the von Fischer family in Bern , who were wealthy here.

In 2019 there are 1013 inhabitants, 773 of them Swiss and 240 foreigners.

The residential development consists of individually standing single and multi-family houses as well as some apartment blocks on the Könizstrasse. The Tertianum residential and care center offers 21 apartments and 75 care rooms as well as a group of apartments for people with dementia. The Fischermätteli sports complex includes a gymnasium and an outdoor area with a hard court, grass field and high and long jump facility.

The terminus of line 6 of the Bern tram is in Fischermätteli , which runs as a cross-city line via Bern train station to Worb Dorf. The bus lines 17 and 31 act as feeders to the train and tram in the direction of the center.
