The von Fischer family is a Bernese patrician family that has owned the citizenship of the city ​​of Bern since 1562 and is now part of the Ober-Gerwern Society . From 1675 to 1838 the family was the tenant of the Bernese post office . Emperor Leopold I elevated the Fischer family to hereditary imperial knighthood in 1680 .
