Kirchenfeld-Schosshalde is one of the six districts of the city of Bern (District IV) in Switzerland . It is located in the east of the city of Bern and includes the Beundenfeld , Brunnadern , Gryphenhübeli , Kirchenfeld , Murifeld and Schosshalde quarters .
The resident population in 2019 was 27,130, of which 21,505 were Swiss and 5,625 foreigners.
District participation
For more than 13 years, QUAV 4 has represented the concerns of its population. It ensures the participation of the population and at the same time fulfills a mandate in accordance with the regulations on the political rights of the city of Bern. It is the official contact person for the city administration. Under the name “Quartiervertretung Bern 4” (QUAV 4), there is a non-profit, politically and denominationally independent association within the meaning of Art. 60ff ZGB with its headquarters in Bern-Ost.

The proportion of votes the parties at the election of the City Council of November 27, 2016 were as follows: SP 25.6% (of which JUSO 2.1%), the FDP 17.4% (of which jf 1.1%), GFL 11.3% SVP 10.0%, glp 9.8% (thereof jglp 1.4%), GB 8.4%, BDP 4.7%, CVP 3.1%, YES! 2.4%, EVP 2.4%, GPB-DA 1.4%, AL 1.3%, PdA 1.2%, Mir si Bärn 0.5%, EDU 0.4%, SD 0.2% . In a comparison of the districts, Kirchenfeld-Schosshalde is the district with the best results for FDP and jf.
In comparison with the overall city result, the FDP in the affluent district of Kirchenfeld-Schosshalde performed clearly and the middle-class middle parties did a little better, while the left-wing parties achieved below-average results.
