Schöngrün / Vermont (also: Schöngrüen ) is the name of a common quarter in the statistical district 22 Bern-Schosshalde of the district IV Kirchenfeld-Schosshalde . It borders the districts Freudenberg , Ostring , Zentrum Paul Klee , Merzenacker , Wittigkofen and Sonnenhof .

In 2019, 1,114 people lived in the usual quarter, 840 of them Swiss and 274 foreigners.

The name Schöngrün (Schosshaldenstrasse 92) goes back to an estate that was officially called Schöngrin until 1880. The name Vermont also comes from an estate on Schosshalde (Buchserstrasse 33), which was called Kleine Matte in the 18th and 19th centuries.

The sculpture garden of the Zentrum Paul Klee is located in the north on Hessenweg. In the quarter there is a more modern residential development with single and multi-family houses as well as some terraced houses. The embassy of Kazakhstan is also in the quarter.

The urban bus route 28 connects with the center.
