Merzenacker is a common quarter in the statistical district 22 Bern-Schosshalde of the district IV Kirchenfeld-Schosshalde . It borders the districts Zentrum Paul Klee , Schosshalde Forest / Cemetery , Solacher / Melchenbühl and Wittigkofen . In the east it forms the city boundary between Bern and Ostermundigen .
In 2019, 535 people lived in the usual quarter, 436 of them Swiss and 99 foreigners.
In the west there are fields and meadows, the residential development in the east consists of a settlement with multi-family row houses. The southern part was planned from 1974 to 1984 and built from 1983 to 1987. arb architects were responsible for this. In the north there are further residential buildings.
The urban bus line 28 connects with Ostermundigen and the train stations Wankdorf and Weissenbühl.
