Gryphenhübeli / Thunplatz is a common quarter in the district IV ( Kirchenfeld-Schosshalde ) in the statistical district Gryphenhübeli . It borders on the districts of Oberes Kirchenfeld , Bärenpark , Egelmoos , Ostring and Elfenau / Brunnadern .

The name of the Gryphenhübeli quarter goes back to Franz Samuel Gryph, the owner of the Wyttenbacher estate. At times it was also called Egggut or Gut bei Kirchenfeldhübeli.
