A common as a communal corridor or communal property is a form of communal property. In the Middle Ages it was also used for raising livestock and growing vegetables. Today it is mainly a green space together with the Grosse Allmend . In 1993, 31 trees were planted along the Schermenweg by young people from all over the world as part of the “Peace Trees” campaign. The army uses the meadow as a training area. At major events it is used temporarily as a parking space for passenger vehicles.
It borders on the Grosse Allmend , the Galgenfeld industrial zone , the Berna and Burgfeld settlements . The Autobahn 6 , separates the small from the large Allmend.
The region's first military airfield was on the Kleine Allmend. Flight demonstrations have taken place there since 1910 and during the First World War it was the base of a newly formed air force. At the southern end there is a small garden with family gardens.
