Children's clinic / women's hospital is a Bernese quarter in the district III Mattenhof-Weissenbühl and the statistical district 14 Mattenhof . It borders on the usual quarters Inselspital , Villette and Mattenhof .

In 2019, 231 inhabitants are reported, 165 of them Swiss and 66 foreigners.

The children's and women's clinics at Inselspital are eponymous, and the clinic for oral surgery and stomatology and the newly built building of the National Competence Center for Translational Medicine at Freiburgstasse 3 are also decisive. There, translation in the sense of the transition from medical research to practical application is to be promoted

The gynecological clinic was closed 5 years after completion due to static deficiencies and moved to a new replacement building for the Theodor Kocher building. A refurbishment of the gynecological clinic is planned, it will cost 100 million francs, 80% of the cost of the new building at the time.

The residential development is located on the north side of Effingerstrasse and Schlösslistrasse, although the Inselspital facilities are also located in the residential buildings of Choisy- and Schlösslistrasse.

traffic

At Loryplatz in the south, lines 7 and 8 of the Bern tram run towards the center. The 2011 bus line 11 ("island bus") also connects with the center.
