SBB Depot / Welle is run as a common quarter in District II (Länggasse-Felsenau). The western part is in the statistical district of Muesmatt , the eastern part in the statistical district of Stadtbach . It mainly includes the track systems and railway operations building west of the main train station to Waldheimstrasse. The wave from Bern as access to the tracks of the Bern train station was put into operation as a western passerelle in 2004 and is part of the quarter

In 2019 there were 62 residents in the quarter. including 20 Swiss and 42 foreigners. A small residential area is located south of Deootstrasse directly on the tracks.
