Rossfeld is a common quarter in District II (Länggasse-Felsenau), which is located on the Engeh peninsula . It borders on Felsenau , Tiefenau , Aaregg , Hintere Engehalde and Äussere Enge .
In 2019 there were 1,031 residents in the quarter, 914 of them Swiss and 117 foreigners.
The residential development consists mainly of row houses that were built in the 1940s. Some of them are operated by the Rossfeld residential cooperative. The Rossfeld Foundation operates a dormitory for physically disabled people in the neighborhood. In 2018, 45 apartments for physically handicapped people were built in the Rossfeld district, all of which are wheelchair accessible via a ramp.
The RBS connects to the center via the Bern-Tiefenau S-Bahn station. The RBS bus line 34 connects the district with the center.
