Andreas Delp

Andreas Delp (* 17th May 1964 ) is a Brigadier General of the Air Force of the Armed Forces .

Military career

Delp joined the Bundeswehr and was trained as an officer. After his first assignments, he completed his training as an officer in the general staff service at the command academy of the Bundeswehr in Hamburg . This was followed by assignments from 2007 to 2010 as commander of anti-aircraft missile squadron 2 and in the Federal Ministry of Defense . On May 1, 2013, Delp succeeded the retired Erich Vad and became group leader 22 (Federal Minister of Defense, Federal Security Council ) in the Federal Chancellery . The group is now called 23. This post was connected with the promotion from colonel to brigadier general . On May 1, 2018, he handed over the post to Axel Deertz and became head of the German liaison command at the United States Central Command in Tampa ( Florida ).
