The sculpture Madonna and Child in the Ste-Hélène church in Hourtin , a French commune in the Gironde department of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region , was created in the 17th century. In 1980 the sculpture was added to the list of listed objects ( Base Palissy ) in France as Monument historique .

The white stone sculpture is 1.50 meters high. They were created from a single block, remnants of a colored version are still present.

The baby Jesus sits on Mary's right arm and looks at the viewer.
