Madonna and Child in Portets

The sculpture Madonna and Child in the Church of St-Vincent in Portets , a French commune in the Gironde department of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region , was created in the 15th century. In 1930, the Gothic sculpture was added to the list of listed objects ( Base Palissy ) in France as Monument historique .

The painted oak sculpture is 1.20 meters high. The baby Jesus sits on the left arm of Mary , who touches the child on the arm with her right hand. Both look at the viewer.
