The sculpture Madonna and Child in the Church of St-Germain in Arsac , a French commune in the Gironde department of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region , was created in the 18th century. In 1970, the baroque sculpture was added to the list of listed buildings ( Base Palissy ) in France as Monument historique .

The wooden sculpture is 1.70 meters high and gilded. The naked baby Jesus is sitting on Mary's right arm and turns his satisfied-looking face towards the viewer. The many folds of Maria's dress, which is holding a scepter in her left hand , give her appearance a fullness.
