The sculpture Madonna and Child in the Church of St-Martin in Villenave-d'Ornon , a French commune in the Gironde department of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region , was created in the 18th century. In 1909, the baroque sculpture was added to the list of listed objects ( Base Palissy ) in France as Monument historique .

The wooden sculpture is 1.20 meters high. Mary carries the baby Jesus on her left arm . The many folds of Maria's dress give her appearance a fullness.
