Eva Vargas

Eva Vargas (born September 20, 1930 in Freiburg im Breisgau ; † June 28, 2010 in Heidelberg ) was a German singer, composer, journalist and visual artist .

Life

Eva Vargas had lived in Heidelberg since 1965, since 1984 in the transformer house of the Heidelberg weir near Wieblingen. She called her self-created art “rest art” and carried out related exhibitions and campaigns with ecological, humanitarian and political objectives. Their activities included the areas of literature, music, painting, design and action. She was the owner and director of the small theater on wheels "Heidelberger Lumpen-Paradies". She repeatedly initiated funding programs in schools, youth and prisons.

Eva Vargas was married to Arnfried Astel . On June 28, 2010, she died of complications from cancer.
