Eva Zora

Eva Zora (born February 28, 1937 in Zagreb ) is a French film editor of Yugoslav origin.

Life

Zora, who was born in Zagreb , did her first work as an editor for the comedy film Oh! Qué mambo (1959) with Michel Serrault . This was followed by documentaries such as Description of a Fight (1960) and the Oscar- winning short film Heureux Anniversaire . After receiving French citizenship in 1965, she was in the Louis de Funès films from 1967 to 1970, Balduin, the Holiday Scare (1967), Baldwin, the Grouchy Marriage (1968) and Baldwin, the Horror of Saint-Tropez (1970 ) responsible for sound editing.

From the 1970s Zora worked as an editor of films such as Jean-Claude Brialys Sommerliebelei (1974) with Romy Schneider and Robert Enrico's thriller The Net of a Thousand Eyes (1974) with Jean-Louis Trintignant . For the film drama The Old Rifle (1975), set in World War II , also starring Romy Schneider, Zora received a nomination for the César film award, which was first awarded in 1976, in the Best Editing category . For the film Die Impossible Sophie (1981), Zora worked again under the direction of Jean-Claude Brialy. Then Zora only worked sporadically as an editor, most recently in 2006.
