Evaeverson Lemos da Silva , called Brandão , (born June 16, 1980 in São Paulo ) is a Brazilian soccer player who is under contract with SC Bastia .

Career

After a successful youth football in Brazil , Brandão moved in 2002 from his former club AD São Caetano to Shakhtar Donetsk in the Ukraine . There he quickly became a regular player and formed the attack of the Ukrainians with the Ukrainian international striker Andrij Vorobej .

In the 2006/07 season Brandão played with his club in the Champions League , together with Valencia CF , Olympiacos and AS Roma in a group. In January 2009 he moved to Ligue 1 for Olympique Marseille for six million euros . During his time in Marseille in 2011 he was awarded to Brazil twice to Cruzeiro EC and Grêmio FBPA .

For the 2012/13 season Brandão moved to AS Saint-Étienne free of charge . Brandão has been playing for SC Bastia since 2014.

On August 16, 2014 Brandão attacked his Parisian opponent Thiago Motta in the cabin corridor after a 2-0 defeat. Motta broke his nose from a headbutt. The French association LFP then banned Brandão for 6 months until February 22, 2015, and on November 27, 2014 a Paris court sentenced him to one month's imprisonment without parole and a fine of 20,000 euros.
