Evangelical adult and family education in Württemberg
The Evangelical Adult and Family Education in Württemberg (EAEW) with its regional office in Stuttgart is the amalgamation of Protestant adult, family and senior education in the Württemberg regional church and stands for lifelong education. In the EAEW, the regional working groups of the 20 (district) educational institutions, the 27 family educational institutions and the evangelical senior citizens in Württemberg work together.
history
In 1962 the EAEW was founded as the "Evangelical Working Group for Adult Education in Württemberg".

State working group of Protestant educational institutions in Württemberg
The 20 (district) educational institutions in the regional church represent the regional organization of adult and family education as part of public continuing education. As a rule, they each include the church districts that are in the same district.
Evangelical regional working group of family educational institutions in Württemberg
It supports the work of the 27 family education centers in Württemberg. Their courses and offers deal with the design of the everyday life of families.
State working group for evangelical seniors in Württemberg
It promotes senior work in the regional church and sees itself as the competence network for age issues within the Evangelical regional church in Württemberg. It is anchored in the EAEW's education / training department and in the Diakonisches Werk Württemberg (DWW) with the department of geriatric policy / care for the elderly .
tasks
The EAEW accompanies people in different life situations and promotes the skills of women and men in everyday life, at work and in the coexistence of generations as well as voluntary work . The EAEW works on behalf of the Evangelical Regional Church and is officially recognized as the provider of further training. Its member institutions receive state subsidies in accordance with the state law for the promotion of further education and librarianship (further education law) as well as support from the services of the regional office of the EAEW.
The EAEW regional office offers study days, advanced and advanced training courses etc. at the regional church level. a. on pedagogical and theological topics for full-time and volunteer workers in community adult and senior education, for parish councils as well as for full-time workers in family education. In addition, it provides tried-and-tested concepts for working with families and for supporting familiar living environments in the community and encourages new forms of work with the elderly.
In addition, the state office supports quality development in the facilities, maintains contact with ministries and church leadership, passes on the state's grants to promote further education , maintains an exchange with church and non-church state organizations, associations and institutions for adult and further education and thereby promotes profile , Professionalism and presence of the member institutions as well as the entire field of further training.
The member institutions of the EAEW take up topics from all areas of life that move people, especially in the areas of education , theology , health and offer, in addition to lectures and seminars, places of encounter and the promotion of voluntary work.
Structures
The management of the office is a special parish office. This vicarage also leads 50% of the business of the situationB. The management of LEF and LAGES are staffed with full-time specialists. A teaching position for advanced training at the EAEW and a part-time teaching position for the LEF complete the specialist staff. Two part-time administrators are also employed at the office.
At the association level, the Evangelical Adult and Family Education in Württemberg (EAEW) is structured from bottom to top: The independent institutions are managed by the full-time educational management and management on the one hand, and the honorary board of directors on the other. The state working groups elect the members of the board of directors in accordance with their respective statutes at member and delegate assemblies. The boards of the regional working groups send representatives to the EAEW board in accordance with the EAEW regulations. The EAEW board works with the full-time employees of the EAEW regional office, in particular with their management, as well as with the member of the church leadership responsible for this work area, with the aim of promoting "Protestant adult and family education in the area of the Württemberg regional church in terms of content, methodology and organization to promote and to represent their educational policy concerns vis-à-vis the state , the public and other providers of adult education , but also in the regional church ”(regulations of EAEW § 2 (1)).

The Evangelical Church in Württemberg is the sponsor of the EAEW and finances the EAEW office with its staff.
Memberships
The EAEW is a member of various associations: Church State Working Group for Adult Education in Württemberg (KiLAG) and German Evangelical Working Group for Adult Education eV (DEAE). Your regional working groups are also part of other EKD specialist associations for senior citizens' work or family education and family policy.
