Evangelical Chapel (Dotzlar)
The Protestant chapel is a listed church building in Dotzlar , a district of Bad Berleburg in the Siegen-Wittgenstein district ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).
History and architecture
The two-bay late Romanesque hall with a slightly drawn-in, just closed choir stands on a hill above the Edertal . The building was erected around 1300. The simple, plastered building is structured by arched windows. The roof is crowned with a small roof turret. . Irregular domed ridge vaults are drawn into the interior . The pulpit was installed in 1682. The building was also used as a school room until 1855.
Bells
The two steel bells were cast by the Bochum Association in 1904 . The bronze bell was cast in 1962 and bears the inscription: Honor to God alone in the heights .
