History and description
In Eckarts, formerly a branch of the original parish of Oberleichtersbach , the Reformation was probably introduced together with the other Thüngenschen Cent villages . The church, a simple structure with two window axes, was built in 1754. A roof turret with a Welscher hood is located above the west facade with its curved gable .
Furnishing
The equipment probably comes from the construction time. At the altar you can see a crucifix between two angels. A wooden ambo is set up in front of the altar . The pulpit , also made of wood, is attached to the south wall. Next to it is the font . The gallery occupies the western and northern walls. The organ is on the western wall .
