Evangelical Church in Hasselbach

The Evangelical Church in Hasselbach , a district of the large district town of Sinsheim in the Rhein-Neckar district in northern Baden-Württemberg , was built in 1810/11 instead of a previous building from 1556. The church was the first church building by the architect Christoph Arnold , who at the time was the master builder in Karlsruhe and an employee of Friedrich Weinbrenner .

Bells

When the church was consecrated on November 3, 1811, it had two or three bells cast by Anselm Franz Speck in Heidelberg in 1777 and 1788 . The older of the bells had to be delivered in the First World War. As a replacement, a bell was purchased from the Bachert bell foundry in Dallau in 1855 , which had previously been in Daisbach . In 1947 the larger bell from 1788 shattered, so in 1949 the decision was made to purchase two new bells, while the old Daisbacher bell was returned to Bachert and later moved to the Bell Museum in Herrenberg.

The two bronze bells that were cast by Bachert in Kochendorf ( Bad Friedrichshall ) in 1950 are located in the church's bell tower . The Large Bell has the percussive cis '', a diameter of 67 cm and a weight of 165 kg. The small bell has the strike tone e '', a diameter of 57 cm and a weight of 95 kg. Both bells bear the inscription GEGOSSEN FOR THE HASSELBACH MUNICIPALITY IN 1950 .
