Evangelical Church in Muggenbrunn

The Evangelical Church in the Muggenbrunn district of Todtnau was built as a Catholic church at the turn of the century around 1900. The building is no longer used for church services, but is currently used as a private residence.

history

Between 1899 and 1900 the church in Muggenbrunn was built in the neo-Gothic style and consecrated to St. Cornelius . The church was renovated in 1932, but it turned out to be too small and was replaced by a new building in the 1950s. In 1958, the vacant chapel became the property of the Evangelical Church, which in the early 1960s made the interior more simple. After a few years the service was stopped; The building was then used for contemplative retreats for locals and spa guests. The former church is now used as a private apartment.
