History and architecture

In the 12th century, the building was originally a flat-roofed, Romanesque hall with a retracted rectangular choir . In the second half of the 13th century the church was with lunette vaults on powerful pilasters arched . Instead of the old west tower, a new one was built in 1869. In 1912 and 1913 the church was decorated with romanticizing vault paintings. The building in danger of collapsing was extensively renovated from 1984 to 1993. The tower was renovated from 2001 to 2002. The simple plastered quarry stone building is structured by arched windows. Strong pillars were attached to the north side. In the nave, barrel vaults rest on massive wall pillars, the vault in the choir on wall templates.
