history

Layout

The Eisberger Church was built around 1200 as a single-nave building with a west tower. The core of the building and the tower are Romanesque and are among the oldest in the church district. After the Thirty Years War (until 1662), a second nave was added to the existing nave facing south.

Furnishing

The furnishings from the 17th century include a baptismal font from 1606, altar and pulpit from 1607 and the interior painting by Paul Thol (from Berlin) from 1953, which defines the present-day overall impression and offers a biblical-theologically oriented image program.

There are three bells in the tower that were cast in 1921. The Steinmann organ is from 1974.
