Evangelical Church Gennebreck
The Evangelical Church is a listed church building in Gennebreck , a district of Sprockhövel in the Ennepe-Ruhr district ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).
History and architecture
The four - bay , neo-Gothic stepped hall with a one- bay choir in the 3/4 length was built by Christian Heyden from 1860 to 1862 . The tower is on the entrance side. The church complies with the requirements of the Eisenach regulation of 1861. The quarry stone building is structured by buttresses and pointed-arched tracery windows that are horizontally divided on the nave . Inside, were on three sides galleries built; the ribbed vaults rest on slender columns. Wilhelm Sauer's organ was originally built in 1889 for the Protestant church in Breckerfeld and installed here in 1955.
