The church stands on an elliptical floor plan (about 20 × 30 m); it was built from 1796 to 1797. It is attributed to the architect Carl Gotthard Langhans . The authorship by Langhans or the builder Mohrenberg is not secured, but due to the construction time and proximity to the church in Adelsdorf ( Zagrodno ) it is likely. The parish came to the ecclesiastical province of Silesia from 1817 through the formation of the Evangelical Church in the Royal Prussian Lands . In 1872, a sandstone-walled bell tower was added to the southeastern outer wall based on a design by the Bunzlau architect Peter Gansel.

The exterior of the church is characterized by its simplicity. The gable roof covered with roof tiles is adapted to the oval structure of the building. The oval floor is matched by an oval, unadorned dome ceiling supported by smooth round columns. All around the church interior are two wide galleries with full wooden parapets. The galleries can be reached by straight stairs.

The church has remained unused since 1945, and the Catholics now living in the village visit the neighboring Johann Nepomuk parish church. The church was first used as a sheepfold, then as a source of building materials for private use. The building slowly fell into ruin. The window frames were torn out. The top of the church tower fell. Without immediate help, the whole church threatened to collapse. For the time being, the window openings were walled up, but with every rain water penetrated through the perforated roof.

There is an abandoned Protestant cemetery next to the church. Many tombstones were lost here.

On July 17, 2013, the Warsaw Foundation “Twoje Dziedzictwo” (Your Cultural Heritage) took over the church with the old Protestant cemetery and is currently collecting money to first repair the roof and protect the building from deterioration. The Polish Ministry of Culture has also promised financial aid. On June 24, 2014, construction work on rebuilding the church officially began. Since August 2014, the church has had a new roof covering made of red beaver-tail roof tiles .

The construction work carried out until 2018 prevented the building from deteriorating further. The reconstruction of the Church is progressing as grants from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the Marshal's Office of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship and private donors flow.

The oval vault with a wooden construction was renovated except for the area of the old organ, where the heavily damaged structure must be reconstructed from the level of the floor over the entire height of the room. The renovation of the inner supporting structure of the building (columns, galleries) should be completed by October 2018.

To complete the reconstruction, the installation of the new door and window frames, the addition of the parapets, the renovation of the ceilings and stairs of the bell tower and the reconstruction of the fallen spire remain.

The church was registered on December 12, 2005 under 669 / A / 05 in the register of architectural monuments of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship .
