The Evangelical Gymnasium is a private school founded in 2012 in the Sandow district of Cottbus . It is divided into a linguistic and a musical branch . The sponsor is the Evangelical Church Berlin-Brandenburg-Silesian Upper Lusatia .

The buildings were used by the Carl Blechen primary school between 2006 and 2009 . However, these were completely refurbished prior to opening. It received an elevator, a new cafeteria , several prayer rooms and an atrium on the ground floor.

Partnerships

The school cooperates with the state theater , the conservatory , the diesel power plant , as well as with the DEB and the Brandenburg Technical University Cottbus-Senftenberg . There is also a school partnership with the 6th grammar school in Zielona Góra .

particularities

Attending church services and religious instruction are compulsory for all students. In addition, the subject of lifestyle, ethics and religious studies is not taught.
