features

The moths reach a wingspan of about 38 millimeters. The head and thorax are earth-brown, the abdomen is paler. The fore wings are quite long and narrow. They have a warm earth-brown basic color and are speckled with dark. The costal edge is almost straight, the apex is rounded. The outer edge of the wing runs obliquely, the inner edge of the wing is slightly curved at the base. The subbasal line is indicated by three obliquely arranged dark spots, which have a thin white border on the outside. The antemedian and post-median lines are clearly visible. They are white and sloping. The former has a black border on the outside, the latter on the inside. The antemedian line is sharply angled below the cell and has a strong tooth. The post median line is S-shaped and serrated. The subterminal line is only weakly indicated. The area between it and the outer edge of the wing is gray-brown with a light purple tinge. The discal patch is dark and rounded. The outer edge is provided with a series of dark lines between the wing veins . The fringed scales are whitish, piebald on the outside and provided with a dark subbasal line. The hind wings are gray-white and have a serrated post-median line. The fringed scales are white and have a dark subbasal line. The undersides of the wings are light gray ocher and, especially on the forewing, darkly coated. There is a small, dark discal spot on the underside of the forewing. The fore and hind wing underside are marked with a clearly dentate post-median line.

In the male, the uncus is slender and has a blunt tip. It is sparsely provided with backward-facing bristles. The gnathos is dagger-shaped and has twice the diameter of the uncus shaft. The blades have a broad base and are only slightly tapered. The tip is rounded and slightly serrated. A clamp organ (clasper) is not formed. The distal part of the phallus is provided with a group of small cornuti and paired brush-like cushions.

The female genital fittings have not yet been described.
