Everything Is Made in China (EIMIC) is a Russian rock band formed in Moscow in 2005 .
history
After they had success with their first EP in the Russian alternative scene and had sent their demos to various recording studios around the world, EIMIC were invited to Toronto, Canada to make their first professional recording. The first album was released in late summer 2007. Rolling Stone has named EIMIC as one of the best and most promising Russian post-rock bands.
style
The band's style is described as a mixture of post rock and indie rock. EIMIC has incorporated elements of ambient, electro and indie into their music. EIMIC's music is minimalist: they place little emphasis on the lyrics, but rather on the melody and psychedelic design of the music with the help of electronic and vocal samples . Its members claim to have been influenced by the music of bands like Broken Social Scene , Mogwai , Radiohead and The Most Serene Republic .
