Evgeni Konstantinowitsch Skljanin ( Russian Евгений Константинович Склянин , English transcription Evgeni or Evgeny Sklyanin ; * May 24, 1955 ) is a Russian mathematician and mathematical physicist who deals with classical and quantum mechanical integrable systems and quantum groups.

Skljanin received his doctorate from the Steklov Institute in Leningrad. He was at the Steklov Institute in Saint Petersburg and is a professor at the University of York .

He deals with the application of quantum groups to classical and quantum mechanical integrability, algebraic causes of integrability of dynamic systems, integrable two-dimensional quantum field theories and precisely solvable systems of statistical mechanics and the method of separating the variables in classical mechanics and quantum mechanics.

He has been a Fellow of the Royal Society since 2008 . In 1983 he received the Leningrad Mathematical Society Prize .
