Evi Kratzer (born January 24, 1961 in Arvigo ) is a former Swiss cross-country skier . In 1987 she won bronze over 5 km classic at the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1987 . Between 1982 and 1989 she took part in 35 world cup races. She was able to win her only World Cup victory in 1987 in Calgary . It was the first and, until December 2017, only World Cup success for a Swiss cross-country skier. In the 1984/85 season , Kratzer was fifth in the overall World Cup. Her best result at the Winter Olympics was eighth place in Sarajevo in 1984 over 20 km classic. In 1980 and from 1982 to 1985 she won the Engadin Skimarathon five times .
