Ewa Milewicz

Ewa Milewicz (born December 4, 1947 ) is a Polish journalist .

Ewa Milewicz studied law at the Warsaw University . In May 1980 she started working with the Polish Committee for the Defense of Workers and supported the committee with her journalistic work. From August 1980 she paved the way for Solidarność at the Gdańsk shipyard and became very well known in Poland. Her work companions include Andrzej Celiński , Halina Mikołajska , Stanisław Barańczak and others.

Due to polio , she is dependent on a wheelchair. Her popularity also earned her a television role in the fairy tale film Kopciuszek , a film adaptation of Cinderella . Today she works for the Warsaw newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza .
