Ewald Karl Schrade
Ewald Karl Schrade (born September 18, 1941 in Gomaringen ) is a German gallery owner . He is the initiator and curator of art Karlsruhe from the beginning .
Schrade is a trained model maker. After a motorcycle accident in 1960 in which he lost his right hand, he completed an apprenticeship as an insurance salesman. He worked as a freelance insurance broker and bank branch manager and began organizing art exhibitions. He has been running his own galleries since 1971 in Reutlingen , Kisslegg , Lindau , since 1985 in Schloss Mochental , since 1999 in Karlsruhe .
In the spring of 2004, Schrade organized the art fair art in Karlsruhe for the first time, which takes place annually and has developed into one of the most important art fairs in Germany.
