Ewald Leeker (* 1895 , † after 1927) was a German football player .

Career

The left-back Ewald Leeker debuted in 1911 at the age of 16 years in the first team of Arminia Bielefeld . He later became team captain and led his team to the West German championship in 1922 and 1923 . The Bielefeld team thus qualified for the final round of the German championship, where Arminia was eliminated in the first round. In addition, Leeker was appointed to the West German selection. The magazine football characterized him as "rough leg of vigorous nature". In 1927, Leeker was expelled from the field at a Bielefeld game at Union Herford and suspended for half a year. Ewald Leeker was a horse butcher full-time .
