Expositurkirche in Langen am Arlberg

The Expositurkirche Langen am Arlberg is located in the district of Langen am Arlberg in the municipality of Klösterle in the state of Vorarlberg . It is dedicated to St. Therese of Lisieux . The church belongs to the dean's office Bludenz-Sonnenberg in the diocese of Feldkirch . The church building and the walling are under monument protection .

history

The church was rebuilt in 1929 according to plans by Hans Feßler and consecrated in 1930.

Building description

Exterior

The church forms a rectangular system with a steeple in the southwest of the building above the entrance. The curved gable roof goes up to the slope. In the east, the sacred building is surrounded by a cemetery.

Interior

The church interior is barrel vaulted and closes at the front with a straight altar wall. The windows are semicircular. The glass paintings were created based on a design by Rudolf Strolz . On the left side, St. Franziska and St. Joseph with child are shown. The stained glass on the right-hand side depicts St. Mary with Child and St. Barbara . St. Elisabeth is shown in the rose window above the gallery .

Furnishing

On the altar wall is a crucifix by Walter Kuen from 1933. The figures of St. Mary and St. John were made by W. Reich in 1889. The tabernacle was created in 1933 by Karl Bodingbauer . On the gallery there is a figure of St. Theresa with Maria and the baby Jesus by Alfons Noflaner .

organ

The organ was built by Anton Behmann in 1892 .
