The Eyres Bay is a side bay of Vincennes Bay on Budd Coast of the East Antarctic Wilke country . It lies between the west side of the Browning Peninsula and the face of the Vanderford Glacier at the southern end of the Windmill Islands .
It was first mapped using aerial photographs taken by the United States Navy in 1947 and 1948 during Operation Highjump and Operation Windmill . The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them in 1962 after David L. Eyres (1931-2013) of the US Navy, a member of the team at Wilkes Station in 1958.
