The Browning Peninsula is a rocky peninsula on the Budd Coast of Wilkesland, East Antarctica . It separates Penney Bay from Eyres Bay at the southern end of the Windmill Islands .
It was first mapped using aerial photographs taken by the United States Navy in 1947 and 1948 during Operation Highjump and Operation Windmill . The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them after Charles L. Browning, a staff officer in Operation Windmill and Operation Deep Freeze from 1955 to 1956.
