Ezra Levin

Ezra Levin (born 1986 in Buda , Texas ) is an American political activist and co-founder of the non-profit organization Indivisible . Together with his wife Leah Greenberg , he was for authorship of the book We Are Indivisible: A Blueprint for Democracy After Trump by the magazine Time to time 100 counted.

Life

Lewis grew up in Buda, Texas. he first studied at Carleton College and received his Masters in 2013 from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University .

From 2007 to 2008 he worked for AmeriCorps VISTA in San Francisco , California. From 2008 to 2011, he was Deputy Policy Director for Congressman Lloyd Doggett . This was followed by a position as Associate Director of Federal Policy at Prosperity Now from 2012 to 2017. His work there focused on homelessness and poverty.

Together with his wife Leah Greenberg and Jeremy Haile and Angel Padilla, all of whom are former members of Congress, he published the online publication Indivisible: A Practical Guide for Resisting the Trump Agenda in 2016 after Donald Trump was elected 45th President of the United States . The publication went viral and developed into a progressive movement . Levin and Greenberg started a website and encouraged supporters to start their own local chapters. In 2017, the work of Indivisible as a 501 (c) organization was finally continued with Levin as President and Greenberg as Vice-President. In 2019 Greenberg and Levin published the book We Are Indivisible: A Blueprint for Democracy after Trump . In the same year he and his wife were named one of Time Magazine's One Hundred Most Influential People of the Year.
