Félix Haffner
François Apollinaire Félix Haffner (born May 30, 1818 in Strasbourg , † January 14, 1875 in Le Mesnil-Amelot ) was a French genre and landscape painter .
Born the son of an artillery captain, Félix Haffner was a pupil of Franz Josef Sandmann in Strasbourg from 1836 to 1839 , after which he studied at the Royal Academy of Arts in Munich from November 5, 1839 . In 1844 he visited Germany and Spain. He then worked in Strasbourg and Mesnil-Amelot.
From 1844 to 1869 he exhibited his works at various art salons.
He created the ceiling paintings in the rooms of Saulxures Castle .
Some of his paintings are in Colmar in the Unterlinden Museum .
