FFF is a French crossover band. The abbreviation FFF is interpreted differently: "Fédération Française du Funk" (based on the French football organization "Fédération Française de Football") or "French Funk Federation", "Free For Fever", "Furious Five du Finistère" or how they were once dubbed "Freaky Fucking Frenchmen" in the music magazine Visions . In the song "New Funk Generation" from the album "Blast Culture" they sing from the French Funk Federation.
history
FFF was founded in 1987 by singer Marco Prince and bassist Nicolas Niktub Baby. a. Funk and hip-hop with different varieties of alternative and hard rock .
She was discovered at the "Transmusicales" festival in Rennes and signed to Columbia, where she recorded her first album with Bill Laswell . This was followed by an eventful career, which was put on hold after the fourth studio album Vierge .
In the summer of 2007 the band got together with the original line-up (but without Philippe Herpin) to perform at a festival.
In their social engagement they also participated in the soundtrack of the film La Haine (dt .: hatred), which depicts problems between different social groups.
