history

In 2009, the former FCK President Norbert Thines founded the association initiative Passion FCK - Fritz Walter Museum Kaiserslautern e. V. with the establishment of a Fritz Walter Museum as a goal. In May 2010, the establishment of the museum in its current form was decided by 1. FC Kaiserslautern. In March 2011, the first part of the museum was a photo exhibition in the log tower north-east of the Fritz-Walter-Stadium. In July 2011, as part of the stadium festival, the premises of the Fritz Walter Museum level in the east stand were opened to the public for the first time with the exhibition work in progress .

The FCK Museum has been open regularly since September 2011 and offers public museum tours.
