Kurt Greussing

Kurt Greussing (* 1946 in Lauterach , Vorarlberg ) is an Austrian social scientist .

Kurt Greussing originally studied at the University of World Trade in Vienna and after switching to Iranian Studies and Political Science at the Free University of Berlin with the Dr. phil. completed. During his studies in Vienna he was a functionary of the Association of Socialist Students ( VSStÖ ). He was an employee of the VSStÖ magazine “Theory and Practice” and co-editor of the magazine Neues Forum . At the age of twenty-two he was a participant in the 31st Bergedorf Conversation . In the early 1990s, Greussing worked as a project manager for the establishment of the Jewish Museum Hohenems and as a research assistant at the Institute for Religious Studies at the University of Bremen . 1993–2003 he was responsible for development projects in southern Africa, including 2001–2003 as regional director for Oxfam GB. Since 2004 he has been working primarily on issues of social development in Vorarlberg and on topics of current Islamic theology .
