The FC Affing is a sports club from the Swabian municipality Affing . Originally founded as a football club , it now has departments for skiing, stick shooting, taekwondo, table tennis, gymnastics and volleyball.
history
FC Affing was founded in 1949. In the first 46 years of its existence, the club played with its soccer team in the regional leagues of the Swabian soccer district. In 1995 he rose to the Swabian District League for the first time after two championships in a row. After brief relegation in 1997, he qualified for the regional league in 2003 and in 2005 for the Bayern Süd regional league . In the fourth year in the regional league, the team behind TSV 1860 Rosenheim won the runner-up and took part in the relegation to the Bayernliga, but was defeated by SV Seligenporten in the first round . After finishing fourth in 2010, he was relegated in 2011.
In the 2011/12 season, FC Affing secured the championship in the Schwaben regional league early on and, thanks to the extended right of promotion as part of the division reform of the Bavarian Football Association, was promoted to the Bayernliga after relegation against TSV Landsberg and FC Gundelfingen . Two years later they ended up on the relegation place at the end of the season, drew the short straw against DJK Vilzing and relegated to the sixth-class Bavarian regional league. After one season in 2015, he was relegated to the district league.
After almost all the players left the club due to internal quarrels within the club's management, those responsible had to put together a completely new team, which was only reasonably successful. In September 2015, there was a change to the current leadership as well as the return of former players, which could not prevent the fact that they were relegated to the Augsburg Ost district league again in the summer of 2016.
After the 2nd place in the Augsburg Ost district league, they failed in the relegation to the Schwaben district league in June 2017. However, in May 2018, the return to the district league was made perfect with an impressive series of 12 wins in a row in the second half of the season.
