The FC Deveronvale is a Scottish football club from Banff , the current in the Highland Football League plays. The club is nicknamed The Vale and plays its home games in the 2,600-seat Princess Royal Park .
history
The club was formed in 1938 through the merger between Deveron Valley and the Banff Rovers . The name of the association is derived from the Deveron River , which flows into the North Sea in Banff. In August 1939 The Vale completed the first competitive game. The first title was won in 1948: in the Aberdeenshire Cup , in which the member clubs of the Aberdeenshire and District Football Association participate. In the Scottish Cup , the club was able to cause a sensation in the 2006/07 season when they made it to the round of 16. After victories against FC Montrose , FC Fraserburgh and Elgin City , the team only lost to Partick Thistle .
