The FC Inde Hahn is a sports club, the south of the city of Aachen in the district Hahn is located. Its name is derived from the Inde river that flows through the place.

history

The club was founded in 1946 exclusively as a football club . In the 2016/17 season, three senior teams (Mittelrheinliga, Kreisliga) and fourteen youth teams take part in the game. A traditional team regularly plays friendlies. In the 1980s and 1990s, a women's team was successful for the club and in 1996 rose to the association league, which was then the third-highest German women's division.

In 1969 a women's leisure group was set up, which has since been regularly active with gymnastics exercises and volleyball games. In 1988, a mixed volleyball group called "Crazy Chicken" was added, which occasionally takes part in tournaments. Since 2002, boules has been played on the club's own facility with a steadily increasing number of participants . In 2003, the Inde Hahn running club was launched and since then it has regularly organized the Hahner Kitzenhauslauf in early summer, which has been voted the most beautiful event in the international Rur-Eifel-Volkslauf Cup several times . The popular sports offer was supplemented in 2005 by a fitness group and in 2016 by a cheerleading group called “Inde Panthers”.

In 2005 a lacrosse team joined the club, which won the German championship in 2006 and was one of the best four German men's teams for years. The lacrosse department also included a women's and a junior team. Both women and men played in the Bundesliga West of the German Lacrosse Association DLaxV . At that time, the men's team made up a large part of the German national lacrosse team, which regularly takes part in world and European championships. In 2012 the entire lacrosse department changed to VfL 1905 Aachen eV
